Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven Data Engineer for our client.

You will play a key role in developing and optimizing data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines on GCP using services such as BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow/Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, and Cloud Workflows.
• Develop and implement data models with dbt (data build tool) to support analytical reporting and data science needs.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective data models.
• Ensure high data quality by implementing data controls and monitoring in the data warehouse.
• Optimize data pipelines and data models for the best possible performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Document and communicate data models to the team and train colleagues on how to use them effectively.
• Work with Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GCP and its data services, including BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience in data modeling and transformation with dbt.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with Python.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
• Very good English and Swedish skills, both spoken and written.
